TMJ (or TMD)

This is a complex group of disorders with various causes.
For doctors, the TMJ is the jaw joint. But patients call the pain at this location - TMJ or TMJ dysfunction

Myofascial Pain

Muscle pain may be localized or refer to other sites. If you have a dull aching, burning pain in the muscle or soreness on chewing or even resting. Consider this as a primary causation.

Sleep Apnea

Feeling day fatigue, waking multiple times during the night gasping or snorting for air. You may have sleep apnea, a serious health condition. If you can't tolerate CPAP we can help.

Neuropathic Pain

Also called atypical facial pain, atypical odontalgia, phantom tooth pain. The nerve is damaged either peripherally or centrally. Numerous prior treatment may be unsuccessful

Snoring

Snoring can affect your bed partner's sleep. Deprivation of sleep can cause irritation, moodiness, fatigue, depression. For the some it may be a sign of developing sleep apnea. Lets address it before it worsens..

Headaches

TMD can cause severe headaches. This may be confused with migraine, cluster or other primary headaches. We can assist with Tension Type Headache as the trigger may be TMJ.
